about us
our mission
There are many issues facing children around the world that are consistently underreported in the media. Despite the lack of global awareness there are unsung heroes championing causes around the world. From groups who provide shelter for AIDS orphans in Zambia to an organization that donates prosthetics to amputees in Laos, there are an abundance of people working to reduce the suffering that exists in our world. The news cycle ignores these issues as well as those working towards solutions, and most people would be shocked to learn about the brutality that children in every corner of the world are facing.
Our goal at Our Corners of the World is to shed light on these children’s issues and bring recognition to organizations and people working to combat them. Together we can form a community that makes a safer, brighter place for children by supporting their advocates and educating the general population about how they can help. Our Corners of the World, will make it possible for anyone to learn more about these issues and offer opportunities for those willing to help through our worldwide humanitarian database.
